Grant's Triple Wood is a Scottish blended Scotch whisky from William Grant & Sons, a family-run distillery that has existed since 1887. Originally known as Family Reserve, it was renamed Triple Wood in 2018 as part of a global brand update—the recipe remained unchanged. This bottling is characterized by maturation in three different cask types: fresh American oak provides a spicy base, used American oak casks add soft vanilla notes, and ex-bourbon casks lend the whisky a subtle sweetness and depth. According to the master blender team, the wood influences around 50 to 60 percent of the final product.
In this blend, Grant's combines grain whisky, primarily from the Girvan Distillery, with select Speyside single malts such as Glenfiddich and Balvenie – a recipe that has been refined over generations.
The distinctive triangular bottle design was designed by Hans Schleger in 1957. It bears the family crest and the motto "Stand Fast" - a symbol of consistency and tradition. Grant's Triple Wood is a handcrafted everyday whisky with 40% ABV. Alcohol content - and is now one of the best-selling blends worldwide.
