Profile: What Makes Koval Four Grain Special
Koval’s Four Grain whiskey is distilled from a mash of oats, malted barley, rye and wheat. The whiskey is matured in new oak barrels from Minnesota and bottled as a single barrel at 47% ABV. The grains come from organic farming by a Midwestern farmer collective – a grain-forward, sweet and creamy whiskey.
Tasting Notes: What Koval Four Grain Tastes Like
- Nose: Ripe bananas and allspice; butterscotch, caramel and vanilla
- Palate: Creamy with notes of fresh bread and ripe corn, plus red fruit and spicy oak; banana bread, cinnamon and caramel
