Espero Reserva Balboa is a tribute to the famous explorer, conqueror and governor Vasco Núñez de Balboa, who as a seafarer travelled the American continent in the early 16th century and was the first Spanish explorer to reach the Pacific by land. This extraordinary blended rum unites rums from the Dominican Republic and Barbados. It undergoes a double maturation, first in ex-bourbon casks in the Caribbean, then for six months to a year in French oak casks that previously held very old Nicaraguan rum. The sample is ideal for an easy introduction to this fruity, exotic Caribbean style.
