Glendalough's Double Barrel is a single Grain Whisky that first matured in exBourbon Barrels and then received a six-month finish in Spanish exOloroso sherry casks.
Nose: soft, malty flavors, then vanilla and white chocolate, plus butterscotch and boiled apples, followed by marzipan and roasted oak
Taste: more butterscotch and vanilla cream with slightly salty notes, then fruity with notes of red marmalade and blackberries
Finish: spicy on the finish, oak and herbs are present
