Remedy Spiced Rum is a homage to an unusual origin story: Its origins lie in the era of American Prohibition in the 1920s. At that time, the sale of alcohol was prohibited – with one exception: alcohol for medicinal purposes. Under this pretext, a spiced rum was produced and sold in pharmacies, often under the name of a "remedy." Thus, rum found its way from the apothecary cabinets to the hidden bars and pubs of the time, quickly becoming a popular insider tip.
Today, around a century later, this historic recipe has been rediscovered and reinterpreted. Remedy Spiced Rum combines carefully selected rums from Barbados, the Dominican Republic, and Trinidad. These countries represent a long rum tradition and bring distinct characters and qualities to the modern blend. With great attention to detail and respect for history, a rum was created that not only evokes times gone by, but has also found its place in modern bars today – as a stylish representative of a new generation of spiced rums with a historical background.

Habe diesen Rum zum Mixen genommen, auch die beigelegten Rezepte. Ist sehr lecker. Kann ich nur empfehlen.

Wenn die Prohibitionszeit rumgeschmacklich wirklich so in der Apotheke abging, wäre ich gerne zu der Zeit krank gewesen, einfach ein leckerer Gaumenkitzler
