Five-year-old rums from Guyana and Barbados were selected for the Dos Maderas PX 5+5, these were blended together and matured for a further three years in former Sherry Casks from the Dos Cortados Bodega.
Tasting Notes: This is how the Dos Maderas 5+3 tastes like
- Nose: soft vanilla and marzipan, plus fruity aromas, clearly cherries - slightly spicy
- Palate: a balanced sweetness of marzipan and vanilla, spicy oak and allspice - above all black cherries, molasses and Orange
- Finish: long, pleasantly sweet finish with spicy hints
