Profile: What Makes Navy Island Navy Strength Special
A traditionally made rum from hand-picked Jamaican rum casks, matured in the Caribbean in ex-bourbon casks. Navy Island is a small island off the coast of Port Antonio in the east of Jamaica – the British once had a naval base here, and so the rum found its way to Europe. A powerful, complex rum, oily with a special sweetness of fresh vanilla pods and caramel – plus spicy tones and tropical fruit. The sample makes it easy to get to know.

- Nose: Tropical fruit – pineapple, papaya, guava – plus vanilla, toffee and oak; a hint of cherry wood
