Vizcaya has its origins in Cuba, where this exceptional rum was first produced according to the traditional “Cuban Formula” – the distillery relocated to the Dominican Republic back in 1960. Unlike many other rums, which are made from molasses, Vizcaya is distilled from freshly pressed sugar cane juice, giving it a special purity and an unmistakable, natural aroma profile. The rum matures in selected former bourbon casks.
