The Towiemore Distillery was founded in 1917 in Dufftown, in the Scottish Speyside.
Due to massive problems with the water supply, it was closed again in 1931
Towiemore has fruity notes of peaches and almonds - paired with creamy vanilla tones.
Nose: spicy oak at the beginning, then sherry flavors, licorice and dark chocolate chocolates - roasted coffee and fruity notes behind
Taste: again the spicy and the sherry with notes of ripe plums and raisins - in the background the liquorice again
Finish: surprisingly dry on the finish, spicy notes of oak, coffee and licorice - then slightly fruity notes of currants and raspberries
