An old-school Kentucky straight bourbon, matured in heavily charred American white oak casks for at least six years. At 101 proof (50.5% ABV) it brings power and a pleasant bite – a characterful bourbon with rye spice that holds its own neat, on ice and in cocktails.
Tasting Notes: What Wild Turkey 101 Proof Tastes Like
- Nose: A light sweetness, some toffee and toasted oak, more distinct vanilla and citrus fruit; plus cinnamon and sweet corn
- Palate: Full body, recalling the sweet notes of a cigar box, spicy and creamy – toffee again; peppery rye spice and baking spice
- Finish: Unusually long – spicy again and the toasted oak again; slightly dry, with pepper

Sehr lecker und süß besser wie 81-er

Unverdünnt kommt mir der Alkohol zu sehr durch, mit etwas Wasser aber ein sehr schöner Bourbon der meine Erwartungen voll erfüllt.
Schmeckt dann voll, weich, süss mit den typischen Karamell und Vanillenoten.

Deutliche Pfeffernote, aber niemals aufdringlich. Zusammen mit dem Michter`s für mich einer der besten, zumal bei dem Preis.
