The distillery is perched on a hill in the heart of the Scottish Speyside.
Since 1891 whisky is produced there according to the traditional method. The single malt whisky gets its unique taste through the curved copper tubes used for cooling, the so-called "Worm Tubes". The malts
receive thereby their characteristic fruity notes.
Whisky critic Jim Murray once said:
"Craigellachie I always prefer The Macallan ... If you get this whisky for sale, take as much as you can carry.
Its strength lies in the creamy softness, the oiliness that adheres to the palate, so that follows the long, sweet malt flavor a wonderfully smoky finish. "
Nose: clearly vanilla and tropical fruits
Taste: full in the taste, elegantly soft and creamy - again the tropical fruits, now figs and dates - some toffee
Finish: long, soft finish with some smoke and licorice

Flasche wurde nach einem Tasting gekauft, da es ein sehr feiner Whisky ist. Sehr sanft und weich mit leckeren Vanille Noten.

Eine schöne Standartabfüllung mit einem guten Preisleistungsverhältnis. Einfach ein schöner "every day"dram.

Voller,fruchtiger Whisky mit einer gewissen Schärfe und einer wunderbaren Eichennote.Ferner ist eine leichte Sherrynote,ein Hauch von Karamell und Malz zu schmecken,überlagert von saftigen Früchten (Apfel).
Ein wunderbarer,ausgewogener,"süßer" Whisky mit einer tollen Öligkeit,sowie Eichennoten im Abgang!
Sehr empfehlenswert,würde eher 4,5 Sterne vergeben.
