Nose: ripe, tropical fruits with a little vanilla
Taste: complex and full-bodied, sweet with a malty note

Der 15-jährige begeistert mit seinem kräftigen Antritt und dem knorrigen Fass als erstem Eindruck und übertrifft mit seiner Ausgewogenheit den 12-jährigen deutlich. Mit angenehmer Süße und rundem Mundgefühl hinterlässt er eine recht langanhaltende Würzigkeit. Noch dazu ist er zumindest momentan hier recht preiswert.

Die 3 zusätzlichen Jahre bringen meiner Meinung nach nichts. Mir war er etwas zu trocken und würzig (Eiche). Ich würde den 12 Jährigen bevorzugen (weicher und runder).

Gegenüber dem 12 Jährigen etwas zu viel Trockenheit/Eiche für meinen Geschmack. Ist den Mehrpreis nicht unbedingt wert.

Durchaus lecker, dieser 15-jährige Cardhu. Allerdings halte ich den Unterschied zum 12-jährigen für eher unbedeutend. Aber das ist ja das Schöne am Whisky es ist wohl für jeden Geschmack etwas dabei!
