Since the 1920s, this whiskey is distributed by the Dubliner trading house Mitchell & Son.
The whiskey comes from the distillery Midleton, which now fill it himself.
Mitchell & Son had already launched the Yellow Spot, Green Spot, Blue Spot and Red Spot brands in the 1920s.
Here, therefore, is linked to old times and another classic returns.
The yellow spot is bottled at the age of 12 years.
The whiskey matured in exBourbon, exSherry and exMalaga barrels
Aroma: freshly mown hay and ground black pepper, then red pepper, nutmeg, clove oil and green tea - sweet honey and peaches from the Malaga barrel
Taste: the sweetness of honey, with spices, notes of fresh coffee, cream and milk chocolate, creme brulee - red apples and roasted oak
Finish: the finish is complex, again sweet, a mix of red grape and dried barley

War leider nicht so meins. Er hat eine strenge zu intensive Geschmacksnote, die für mich irgendwie aufgesetzt und zu dominant ist.
