Profile: What Makes Dudognon NAPOLEON Grande Champagne Special
Founded back in 1776, the estate was acquired by the Dudognon family in 1852, under the reign of Napoleon III. For its cognac, the Dudognon family uses only wine from its own vineyards. The oak casks used to mature the distillate come from the neighbouring province of Limousin. Particular care is taken at Dudognon with the reduction process, lowering the cognac's alcohol content to drinking strength. Alongside the natural reduction of roughly 0.5% per year, this process uses what are known as “Les petites Eaux” (older, low-proof spirits). Dudognon cognacs are neither filtered nor cold-treated – all prerequisites for producing a cognac that, through its unique richness, harmony and balance, represents a great rarity. The NAPOLEON is bottled at an age of around 15 years.

Exzellent
Sehr ausdrucksstarker Geschmack und samtig weich im Abgang. Ein Spitzen-Cognac. Fürs Geld ein echtes Schnäppchen.
