Profile: What Makes Bunnahabhain Cruach-Mhòna Special
Cruach-Mhòna is Gaelic and means “peat stack”. Peated barley was used for this whisky; it is one of the rare official peated bottlings from Bunnahabhain.
It is a chocolatey take on the peated genre, bottled at 50% ABV and without chill filtration.
Tasting Notes: What Bunnahabhain Cruach-Mhòna Tastes Like
- Nose: Sweet peat aromas, herbs and burnt grass – dry smoke above all; citrus and sweet fruit, plus spices and tarry smoke; sweet vanilla, creosote, harbour rope and salt
- Palate: Light, malty and sweet, then white pepper, smoke, peat, seagrass and sea salt; first ginger biscuit, nutmeg and cocoa, then sweet peat with wet wool and a smoky choc-fudge finish
- Finish: Dry, smoky and spicy with a distinct seagrass note; lingering dry smokiness with seaweed and spice

Zum ersten mal bestellt, sehr kraftig im geschmack, typischer islay whisky, bin sehr zufrieden, wird beim naechsten mal wider bestellt, schoen das es eine 1 liter flasche ist

Kraeftig sehr gehaltvoll
Gerade bekommen, probiert, erinnert an Laphroaig, vielleicht ein bisschen kraeftiger, werde wohl wieder bestellen.
