Simply, the Glenfarclas 15 years comes along. Plain but not without charm. At the independent distillery Glenfarclas you get a lot of whisky for your money.
The Glenfarclas 15 years is part of the Glenfarclas Core Range. In this context, Glefarclas of the ages 10 years, 12 years, 18 years and 25 years are certainly still to be mentioned. Or also the Glenfarclas 105.
Partially, the Glenfarclas whiskies are no longer so easy to get, because the demand exceeds the supply. We are pleased that we can ensure good availability from the Glenfarclas 15 years.
The Glenfarclas 15 years matured in sherry casks is a balanced single malt from the Speyside region in Scotland. This was bottled with 46%vol. At this alcohol strength it is quite a possibility by adding water to dilute the malt a little. However, this is of course left to each whiskey fan himself.
The Glenfarclas was distinguished, among other things, in the Whisky Bible by Jim Murray in 2007. Here he received 95 of 100 possible points.
Tasting Notes: So tastes the Glenfarclas 15 years

Sehr gutes Preis- Leistungsverhältnis. Mein Lieblingswhisky von Glenfarclas, da auch mit einem höheren Alkoholgehalt abgefüllt.

Wechselhafter feiner Tropfen
Ich hatte bisher in den letzten Jahren 5 Flaschen des 15er. Mit sehr schwankender Qualität, wie ich es bei anderen so auffällig nicht kenne. Von 3 bis 5 Sterne. Oder 82 bis 91 Punkte.
Grundsätzlich aber ein feiner Glenfarclas, besser/komplexer/tiefer als der 12er oder auch der 18er..

Für mich einer der besten 15er überhaupt. Ausgewogene Fruchtigkeit und zu gleich schon den Ansatz der Komplexität seiner ältern Geschwister.

Vollmundig aber "merkwürdig"
Das nennt man im wahresten Sinne vollmundig, aber merkwürdig, warum der zweite und auch der dritte noch besser schmecken als der erste...merkwürdig :-) also die Buddel hält nicht lange....

Ein toller von Sherryfässern gepräger Single Malt. Eine runde Sache und hervorragendes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis, eben typisch Glenfarclas.
