Even if there is no official answer to the question , which single malt is bottled under the name "The Ileach", rumors are increasing and consolidating that it is an Islay distillery in the southwest of the island.

- Nose: clearly peat, fresh herbs and grass - behind it salty sea air
- Palate: surprisingly soft in taste with lots of peat smoke and malt - plus peppery tones and some fruit
- Finish: long in the finish with clear sea salt, peat and iodine

Den Ileach habe ich mir gekauft, nachdem ich ihn bei einem Freund probieren durfte. Ich trinke Whisky aus Genuss und ohne Expertise.
Er ist kräftig, aber angenehm rauchig und ich habe nichts zu beanstanden.

Dieser Single Malt gehört zu den sehr rauchigen und lässt über seine Herkunft keinen Zweifel. Ein toller Whisky für zwischen durch. Das Aroma reicht von sehr rauchig, leicht süß und fruchtig, etwas metallisch, deutlich komplexer wie die normale Abfüllung. Geschmacklich süß, ölig, natürlich rauchig und etwas salzig.
Ich finde, ein sehr gutes Preis/Leistungsverhältnis!

Kräftig, rauchig, dahinter süßliche Aromen. Ein guter Tropfen gerade für die kalten Tage.

Offensichtlich noch recht jung, nicht sehr komplex aber ausgewogen, süffig, höherwertiger als Finlaggan und die anderen Islay-No-Names.

die 58% vol. sind ein Genuss, wobei die verschiedenen Aromen nicht übertönt werden, sondern nach und nach zur Geltung kommen-empfehlenswert!

Mit einem drittel Wasser kommt der Torf richtig zur Geltung.Für mich die richtige Trinkstärke, und das Nosing macht süchtig.

Mit etwas Wasser, kommt der Torf so richtig zur Geltung. Klasse!
