Jameson Crested
Profile: The Jameson Crested at a Glance
- A whiskey that doesn't have to be loud to make an impression
- Blended Irish whiskey with a focus on pot still and grain whiskey
- Mature in former bourbon and sherry casks
- With sherry cask influence that emphasizes fruit and sweetness
Portrait: What makes the Jameson Crested special.
If the Jameson Crested were a person, it would probably be the elegant uncle who shows up at family gatherings in a tweed jacket, telling stories from the old days and smiling mysteriously - no one knows exactly what it does for a living, but everyone likes it.
This fine drop comes from the venerable house of John Jameson & Son, which has its roots buried deep in Irish soil, somewhere between history books and Guinness pubs. Crested is produced at the Midleton Distillery, where for centuries they've worked not only with water and barley, but also with Irish charm.
Crested first made its grand entrance in 1963 – back then under the name Crested Ten. The name was a little joke on the sidelines of whiskey history: this blend was never a ten-year-old. So why "Ten"? Perhaps because "Crested Seven-And-Three-Quarters" didn't sound so good.
For a long time, Crested Ten was a true Irish insider – the James Bond of whiskeys, so to speak: well-known, sought-after, but elusive. But since dropping the "Ten" moniker, it can finally make its international appearance as Jameson Crested. And he does so with the elegance of a gentleman who knows that less is sometimes more—except with whiskey, of course.
In short: The Jameson Crested is a dazzling Irish whiskey with history, style, and a wink. Sláinte!
Tasting Notes: This is how the Jameson Crested tastes like
- Nose: like a relaxed stroll through a sun-drenched orchard: Ripe apples, pears, and a hint of peach rise to the nose - fruity, fresh, and inviting - accompanied by a rich, creamy vanilla aroma that wraps itself like a warm blanket over the fruity bouquet - very harmonious and typically Irish elegance
- Palate: the first impression confirms the nose: fruity and juicy, with a reunion of ripe garden fruits - as it progresses, it becomes more complex - juicy dried fruits such as raisins and figs mingle, accompanied by a subtle sherry influence - a fine note of dark chocolate rounds off the taste pleasantly without being heavy
- Finish: the finish is soft, dry, and wonderfully balanced - no spiciness, no drama - just a calm, stylish farewell that invites the next sip - a classic “Happy to stay a little longer” whiskey with an elegant finish

Super weicher Whisky mit einer angenehmen zart/rauchigen Note und einem feinen blumig/ fruchtigen Geschmack. In kleinen Schlucken genossen erzählt er seine Geschichten von Land und Leute.
