Five precious casks, previously filled with top-quality wine from the legendary Romano Dal Forno winery, served as the home for this whisky. That alone sounds like a love story between the Highlands and the Veneto – and the result tastes exactly like it. Here, robust Scottish craftsmanship meets Italian refinement, as if a kilt-wearing man and a winemaker had agreed to a collaboration over a glass of Amarone – with very pleasing results.

On the nose, the 22-year-old is both opulent and elegant: red berries, dark cherries, fine oak, and a hint of leather – like a cloud of fragrance wafting from an old library overlooking Tuscany. On the palate, an impressive depth unfolds: full-bodied, velvety, and complex, with notes of chocolate, dried fruit, and a vinous undertone reminiscent of fine dessert wines.
