And when Wolfburn releases something special exclusively for Germany, it's called Vibrant Stills - a small batch series that says more than just "Slàinte." We're currently at number 8. And it's quite something.

Because exactly two Oloroso Sherry Butts were selected for this bottling: Cask 116 from 2014 and Cask 264 from 2015. Both boast an impressive 10 years of maturation - and all without any fuss. Or rather: completely without water. Because it was bottled at full cask strength, just as the whisky came out of the cask - honest, powerful, and unadulterated.

The number of bottles? 1,302, exclusively for Germany. So, anyone who thinks this is just another collector's item is mistaken. Rather, it's liquid proof that you can make quite an impression with just two casks.

• Nose: Sherry-flavored, fruity, and creamy on the opening. Aromas of milk chocolate and nougat combine with fruity accents of cherry, strawberry, and a hint of plum jam.
• Palate: Strong, sweet, and full-bodied. Aromas of banana, chocolate bar, syrup, honey yogurt, and gingerbread dough dominate the palate. With a little water, nutty nuances emerge - nougat and roasted almonds unfold.
• Finish: Long-lasting with a slightly spicy note. Impressions of honey toast and candied orange peel remain - a round and aromatic finish.
