The Hazelburn 8 year old Oloroso Cask Matured comes from one of the most traditional whisky regions in Scotland: Campbeltown, located in the southern part of the Kintyre peninsula. 
Whisky production was first documented there in 1591. Today, the region has only a few active distilleries - including the independent Springbank Distillery, which has been family-owned since 1828 and is now managed by Hedley G. Wright, a direct descendant of the founding Mitchell family.

Hazelburn is one of three whisky lines produced at Springbank - known for its triple distillation and unpeated character. For this special bottling, the Hazelburn was distilled in February 2017 and bottled in March 2025 - matured in selected Oloroso sherry casks. The edition is limited to 10,500 bottles worldwide.

Like all Springbank whiskies, the Hazelburn 8 Year Old is bottled without chill filtration and without the addition of any coloring – in keeping with traditional Scottish craftsmanship. This limited edition combines careful cask selection with centuries-old know-how - a piece of Campbeltown history in every bottle.

• Nose: A sweet opening with cinnamon aromas that immediately convey warmth and depth - gradually, cocoa powder, cranberry, and redcurrants unfold, lending the bouquet a fruity and spicy complexity.
• Palate: Mixed berry notes dominate the palate, accompanied by a hint of strawberry bubble gum, sticky toffee pudding, and blackberries - a playful combination of sweetness, fruit, and subtle spice.
• Finish: The finish reveals nutty tones with hints of hazelnut and walnut, providing a round, slightly bitter finish.
