Tasting Notes: This is how the Springbank 13 year old Local Barley tastes like

  • Nose: intense aromas of ripe fruits, especially bananas - followed by sweets and cinnamon
  • Palate: mouth-filling with an oily texture - a peppery and malty note is present, as well as hints of fruity brandy and Parma violets
  • Finish: subtle peat smoke in the background, clearly the sweetness of wine gums, plus hints of toasted oat flakes - above all an earthy note that is reminiscent of the old dunnage warehouses
