His latest creation, The GlenAllachie 12 year old Moscatel Wood Finish, was bottled exclusively for the European market.
This wonderfully fruity whisky Initially matured in former bourbon barrels for over 8 years. In order to increase its complexity even further, it was then filled into selected exMoscatel barrels for a maturation period of around 42 months. Pre-filled with the extremely aromatic dessert wine from Portugal, these casks contribute floral aromas paired with a silky-soft mouthfeel. The result is a bronze-colored malt whisky with unmistakable notes of tart fruit and lush toffee.
