Vermouth Routin Dry

Profile: The Vermouth Routin Dry at a glance

  • Vermouth from France: Produced in Chambéry since 1883
  • According to the original recipe from 1883: With selected botanicals

Portrait: what makes Vermouth Routin Dry so special.

Vermouth Routin has been made in Chambéry, near the French Alps, since 1883 , manufactured. Founded by Philibert Routin, the brand has over 140 years of expertise and still follows the original recipe today.
Vermouth Routin Dry is made with a blend of 17 plants, flowers and spices that are macerated in Jacquère wine for several weeks, a grape variety from the Savoy region.
To achieve the desired balance, French Sauvignon Blanc is then added.

Key botanicals: wormwood, rosemary, Rose blossoms, bitter almonds, juniper berries

Tasting Notes: This is what the Dry Vermouth tastes like

  • Nose: Lemon peel at the beginning, then eucalyptus and rose blossoms together with a hint of thyme.
  • Palate: Lemon and rose followed by wormwood and rosemary, plus juniper berries and lemongrass
  • Finish: light and elegant - the vermouth lingers while lemon and rose give way to spicy herbs
