For this noble wild raspberry spirit , wild raspberries from the Hoher region are used Tatras used in the Carapths. Harvested in a laborious process by hand, the forest raspberries are deep-frozen
in Hausham am Schliersee to the Lantenhammer distillery.
In order to capture the slightly volatile fruit aromas of the ripe forest raspberries as best as possible, the berries are kept for 12-14 days in pure alcohol scheduled. The fine essential oils are gently dissolved and bound before the mixture is distilled in traditional copper stills. The fruit-intensive fine brandy with approx. 70% vol. Alcohol content first matures for at least three years in historic clay vessels before the distillate receives its unique sherry finish for a further 10-12 months in 225l Pedro Ximénez sherry casks an excellent accompaniment to all dishes with berries and fruity notes as well as fresh salads.
