Intensely fruity Williams pear brandy from Lantenhammer

For this noble Williams pear brandy, Williams pears from the greater South Tyrol area, the Bozen Basin, from the Vinschgau near Schlanders at higher altitudes and from Franconia, more precisely the area around Volkach. The stocks come mainly from older trees, which are harvested and cared for by hand.
Immediately after the harvest, the fully ripe fruits make their way to Hausham am Schliersee to the Lantenhammer distillery. 
Arriving there, the Quality, purity and the sugar content of the pears are checked before they are washed by hand and gently crushed with a mash mill.

During the controlled fermentation process, selected pure cultured yeasts produce an optimal variety of aromas and alcohol, which is then distilled in copper Stills is double distilled. After a total of 12 hours, a multifaceted Williams fine brandy with approx. 70% vol. Alcohol content, which first matures for three years in historical stoneware vessels before receiving a unique wooden barrel finish between 12 and 14 months in selected 228l tawny port wine barrels from Portugal.

The fruit brandy Williams pear brandy in a port barrel matured is best enjoyed on its own and goes perfectly with light meat and poultry dishes.
