The Takamaka St Andre Series PTI Lakaz is a blended pot still and column still rum from three different types of casks.
Former Ruby Port wine casks and two different French oak casks are used - a three-year molasses rum from the column still that matured in former bourbon casks and an eight-year-old Bajan Foursquare molasses rum.
The rum is bottled without chill filtration and without the addition of colorings and sugar
Tasting Notes: This is how the Takamaka St Andre Series PTI Lakaz tastes
- Nose: rich aromas of ripe tropical fruits and exotic spices
- Palate: soft and round with clear notes of ripe red fruits and dried fruits such as apricots and dates - above all spicy tones of aniseed and cardamom, plus cocoa
- Finish: surprisingly dry finish - the spicy tones are now clearer
