Portrait: What makes Don Julio Reposado
Don Julio Reposado Tequila is a premium tequila variety made in Mexico and named after the brand's founder Don Julio González. Reposado is Spanish for "left to rest," indicating that this tequila is aged in oak barrels for at least two months, but no more than a year. This aging gives it a smooth and round flavor that is perfect for enjoying in a margarita or as part of a tequila cocktail.
The aroma of Don Julio Reposado Tequila is full of notes of vanilla, caramel and cinnamon that blend perfectly with the taste of sweet agave notes and a touch of wood. The golden hues of this tequila are also impressive, which is due to the aging in oak barrels.
It is important to note that Don Julio Reposado Tequila is made from 100% blue agave, which means that no other ingredients are added. This quality and purity are an important part of making Don Julio tequila and contribute to its excellent taste and exceptional quality.
Overall, Don Julio Reposado Tequila is an excellent tequila that is ideal for drinking neat or as an ingredient in a cocktail. Its smooth and round taste and the perfect balance between sweet agave notes and the hint of wood make it a favorite among tequila lovers around the world.
