Product information "Lost Distillery - Gerston Classic Selection 43%vol. 0,7l"
During the last century, nearly one hundred of Scotland's malt whiskey distilleries were either closed or destroyed - many in the name of progress
These venerable brands were forever lost - until now!

The Lost Distillery Company is independent and wants to bring the old names and their whiskys back to life.
For this purpose, historical documents with a lot of research are used to create new interpretations of these long-forgotten whiskeys.
Used for these whiskys young and old Casks, which give a taste profile that corresponds to 15-18 years old whiskey.

The Gerston Distillery was located about seven miles south of the town of Thurso in northernmost Scotland.
Nearby is the tourist town Halkirk.
There were many illegal distilleries in the late 18th century.
Gerston was founded in 1796 by Francis Swanson in the west of the city. Gerston was a very small distillery, but the whisky produced here had an excellent reputation!

Nose: very fruity, clearly the aromas of ripe red fruits and toffee
Taste: the fruits are more dominant, you taste plum, red berries and apples - then comes back to the toffee in the foreground, spices and a little smoke to join
Finish: long, warm finish
