Croftengea 14 year old 2007/2021 Director's Choice Home of Malts

They are finally here! The new bottlings from our Director's Choice range.
It took a long time, now the two new delicacies are finally here.

It all starts in 2021 with a peaty, smoky Croftengea, the peat Monster of Loch Lomond Distillery.

Distilled in 2007, the Single Malt Whisky matured for 14 long years in the former Refill Bourbon Hogshead #205, then the Cask was bottled to only 334 bottles in July 2021.
Bottled with a Drinking strength of 46%vol. Alcohol content without chillfiltration and without coloring.

Nose: right at the beginning clearly dry peat smoke and spicy herbs, then rich aromas of ripe barley and barley malt develop - the peat smoke and the seasoning hovers over everything
Taste: full and mouth-filling - almost velvety - the peat smoke is present again, the spice is also retained, reminiscent of heather and damp forest soil, with notes of old leather
Finish: medium-long finish with a light finish Sweetness - peat, leather and herbs are present again

Review with rating of 4 out of 5 stars
