Profile: What Makes Gevrey-Chambertin Clos Prieur Special
Clos Prieur is a Premier Cru site of Gevrey-Chambertin on the Côte de Nuits, made by Domaine Drouhin-Laroze. The Pinot Noir shows a deep, lively cherry red colour with even, tender tannins that convey sweetness to the palate.
The 2014 is medium-bodied and shows plenty of energy and very good tension. The fruit is a touch darker, with a subtle marine influence.
