The brand itself was launched in 1987, but dates back to recipes dating back to 1761.
What makes Bombay Sapphire special is the use of ten selected botanicals from around the world, including juniper berries, coriander, lemon peel, angelica root, and almonds. These ingredients are not cooked directly with the alcohol, but rather processed using the so-called vapor infusion process. The alcohol vapor passes through copper baskets containing the botanicals - a method that ensures exceptional fineness.
The iconic blue bottle is recognized worldwide and symbolizes the purity and modern character of the gin. Bombay Sapphire is bottled at an alcohol content of 40%vol. (higher in some markets) and is extremely popular both neat and as a base for classic cocktails and long drinks.
