Wm Grant & Sons Ltd. is the big name behind this Blended Whisky, which is actually a vatted.

The term Monkey Shoulder & comes from the time when the barley was turned with shovels while drying on the kiln floors of the distilleries.
The "Monkey Shoulder" is nothing more than a shovel for turning the barley.

The Smokey Monkey is the smoky brother of the popular Monkey Shoulder - Batch 27 - the maturation takes place in first-fill ex-Bourbon Casks.
The Blended Malt Whisky has notes of various spices, especially fresh vanilla is present.
The finish is sweet and smoky.
