Amázzoni distillery is the first exclusive gin Distillery in Brazil, a former coffee farm from the 18th century, located in the beautiful Paraíba Valley in the state of Rio de Janeiro, in the middle of rivers and waving palm trees, wide plains, fields and fish farms - a true paradise on earth.
Merely two years after the introduction of the first, very successful gin, master distiller Alexandre Mazza has developed a new, bold Brazilian gin recipe with this Rio Negro.
Gin Rio Negro stays with the classic gin roots of juniper.
Added were coriander and lemon; omitted some of the "trendy" Amazon botanicals such as Maxixe (cucumber) and Cipó-Cravo (clove vine).
The result is a classic London Dry with an impressive 51% vol. Alcohol content and bold taste profile, well structured and with a complex, full body.

Nose: refined, intense aromas of juniper, followed by coriander, lemon and a little bitter cocoa
Taste: now the aromas are exploding - full body with strong juniper in focus, intense coriander notes and a hint of lemon
Finish: clearly hot, warm spices

Rio Negro is a robust gin with a lot of style and substance, ideally suited for creative gin Cocktails.
