Glendronach’s single malt whisky gets its finish in port wine casks. That gives the sherried Highland malt additional fruit and sweetness – dark, jammy fruit meets spice and orange peel. Bottled at 46% ABV without chill-filtration, it is strong, fruity and spicy.
Tasting Notes: What Glendronach Port Wood Finish Tastes Like
- Nose: Ripe dark plums, blackberries and sweet strawberries – then getting spicier with aromas of fresh ginger, herbs and sandalwood; gingerbread, figs and dried apricots
- Palate: The fruit again, plus notes of freshly baked apple pie and gingerbread – grilled oranges and ripe cherries above all; blackberry jam and milk chocolate
- Finish: Oranges and cherries again in the finish, plus fresh cake and raisins; long, with echoes of Christmas cake

Was soll man sagen. Unglaublich leckerer Whisky. Glendronach macht auch hier alles richtig.
