Profile: What Makes the Lillet Glass Special
The original Lillet glass is made for the classic aperitif. Lillet is Bordeaux’s first aperitif: the brothers Raymond and Paul Lillet founded Maison Lillet in Podensac, a small village south of Bordeaux, in 1872 and created the aperitif Lillet in 1887.
Lillet is a blend of about 85 percent Bordeaux wines and 15 percent handcrafted fruit liqueurs, obtained among other things from the maceration of sweet and bitter orange peels and cinchona bark. It can be enjoyed neat, on ice, in cocktails or long drinks.
Please note: the glass is not dishwasher safe.
