Behind AVVA's fine gins is Jill Brown, a woman with great passion for gin and Scotland. With AVVA BLINK, Jill now presents a playful variant of her popular gin: in the bottle, the gin shines a brilliant blue – but pour it into a glass and add tonic water, and the colour changes to an equally brilliant pink! This is how the name came about – from blue to pink: “from BLUE to PINK = BLINK!” Nature makes it possible: after distillation, the gin is infused with the extract of the blue-flowering “butterfly pea” (Latin: Clitoria ternatea). This plant is responsible for the colour change. The sample is ideal for an easy introduction to this playful gin.
