Profile: What Makes Knut Hansen Dry Gin Special
Knut Hansen Dry Gin has its home port in the middle of Hamburg, right on the Bille. It received its name and face from the famous sailor Knut Hansen; like him, the gin stands for freedom and adventure, but also for tradition and love of the north. In the sample it is easy to get to know.
The gin is produced in a 150-litre still in small batches, with extremely slow energy input and distilled four times. Besides juniper, apples from the Altes Land, rose petals from the Baltic Sea dike and cucumbers and basil from the Hamburg weekly market are used.
