Profile: What Makes Wild Island Botanic Gin Special
The idea for Wild Island Botanic Gin was born on the small Scottish Hebridean island of Colonsay, a wild paradise with dramatic scenery, harsh winter storms and more hours of sunshine in summer than other parts of Scotland. Keith Bonnington, formerly a manager in the whisky industry, runs the small private company. Colonsay Beverages has been brewing a craft beer on the island since 2007. Wild Island Botanic Gin is produced in collaboration with the renowned Langley distillery, in a traditional copper pot still whose design dates back to 1860.
