Yushan is the name of the highest mountain in Taiwan and gives its name to this blended malt whisky from the Nantou Distillery. The sample makes it easy to get to know.
Maturation in a mixture of former bourbon and sherry casks has given the spirit a supple, gentle nature, with bright cereal sweetness, toffee and dried fruit.
Tasting Notes: What Yushan Blended Malt Whisky Tastes Like
- Nose: Light aromas of cereals and dried fruit; sultanas, pineapple chunks, thyme honey and some nutmeg
- Palate: Distinct tropical fruit and soft honey; creamy vanilla and tangy orange, plus rounded malt and buttery biscuit
