Profile: What Makes Wolfburn Morven Special
Wolfburn's lightly peated single malt whisky bears the name of the highest mountain in the northern Highlands. Only lightly peated malt was used for this bottling, setting it clearly apart from the distillery's other two standard bottlings, Northland and Aurora, both distilled from unpeated malt. The phenol level is just 10 ppm, yet the single malt whisky still shows intense notes of peat smoke. The sample is ideal for an easy introduction to this lightly smoky style.
