The additional ripening in these small barrels underlines the peaty character of the distillery, plus pleasantly sweet and fruity notes of ripe, red berries.
Aroma: lots of toffee and nutty aromas, with notes of rum and juicy raisins - a little vanilla
Taste: initially intense sweetness, very spicy and warm, smoke, iodine and peat - in the background sweet syrup
Finish: medium length finish, surprisingly fruity with notes of caramelized sugar and cigar smoke

Wunderbarer Laphroaig , sehr komplexer Geschmack. Für mich ein absoluter Treffer, den ich gern als " Dauergast " in meiner Rotation begrüße !
