Penderyn first matured this single malt whisky in ex-Bourbon barrels, then additionally in former port wine barrels, which gave it its strong color and very fruity notes.

Nose: intense aromas of dried fruit and chocolate, plus cranberries , a little toasted oak and nuts
Taste: rich and creamy in taste, a little honey, paired with spicy notes
Finish: soft in the finish, spicy oak tones and light honey sweetness - dark chocolate in the background

Sehr lecker, die Kombination aus Bourbon- und Portfässern verleiht dem jungen Whiskey eine intensive Süße. In der Nase Nüsse und Datteln, es kommen würziges Holz und Honig dazu und hinterlassen ein wärmendes, angenehmes Mundgefühl.

Man spürt den hohen Anspruch, den die Macher sich auferlegen.
Jedoch Kaum unterschied zum SherryWood Penderyn.
Interessant aber dennoch, nach meinem Empfinden, ist man preis leistungsmässig mit dem Madeira besser bedient.
