The 21-year-old Glendronach Parliament matures for 21 years in selected ex-oloroso and ex-Pedro Ximénez sherry casks. Bottled at 48% ABV without chill-filtration, it is a full-bodied, sherried Highland malt with soft tannins.
Tasting Notes: What Glendronach 21 Year Old Parliament Tastes Like
- Nose: A delicate mix of ripe autumn fruit – especially blackberries and red plums, plus plenty of oloroso sherry and candied oranges, spicy wheat pastry and toasted oak
- Palate: The oloroso sherry again, then dark bitter chocolate and plum pudding – many spicy notes, above all cinnamon, allspice and nutmeg
- Finish: Long – spicy and the chocolate again
