Profile: What Makes Brecon Special Reserve Gin Special
The distillery is located in the picturesque village of Penderyn, on the southern edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park, home to spectacular mountains, open moorland, rushing mountain streams and waterfalls. After the Frongoch distillery closed in the late 19th century, Wales had no distillery for nearly 100 years. Penderyn is now the country's only distillery. Alongside whisky, Penderyn also produces gin and vodka. The gin is handcrafted. No flavourings are added after distillation – all ingredients are added directly during distillation, creating an extremely mild and pure juniper gin with beautiful notes of orange peel, liquorice root, cinnamon, nutmeg and coriander.
Tasting Notes: What Brecon Special Reserve Gin Tastes Like
