The 12-year-old Auchentoshan from the Scottish Lowlands is - atypical for a Scotch whiskey - distilled three times.

The result is a pleasantly mild single malt whiskey with elegant, fruity notes - one of the most popular aperitif malts.

Aroma: intense aromas of ripe citrus fruits, exotic fruits and ripe cereals

Taste: soft and pleasantly mild, a sweet malt and light vanilla notes, traces of orange - above all a slight sweetness

Departure: surprisingly dry and very long on the finish - again the ripe grain and light malt notes
