Distilled in 2016 at Trinidad Distillers in the column still from molasses, the Plantation Trinidad 2016 Mezcal Cask Finish initially matured for five years in Trinidad in former classic American bourbon Casks, then Ferrand left the Rum in France for a year in former Ferrand Cognac Casks and in former Mezcal Casks for another year.
Mezcal is distilled from agave in Mexico. The most well-known type of mezcal is tequila.
