Portrait: What makes the Edradour 21 year old Oloroso Cask Finish.
Whisky in in its most original form - that made Edradour a legend among Scotch fans years ago. As one of the few distilleries in Scotland, until 2018 it produced its single malt exclusively in the old farm buildings, sometimes using equipment that was more than 100 years old. And these are rarely used in whiskey making anymore. The latter has not changed even after the completed expansion to include Edradour II.
The Highland distillery is now consolidating its favorite status with six new Edradour and Ballechin bottlings in September 2023 - all from liqueur wine and wine barrels.
With dark fruity and nutty tones refine Oloroso Sherry Butts Edradour Single Malt. The cask-strong Edradour 21 year old Oloroso Cask Finish first matured in former Bourbon hogsheads, then the noble single malt whisky received a second maturation in first and second fill butts, which were previously made from Spanish Oloroso sherry Andalusia contained.
