Profile: What Makes the Loch Lomond Nosing Glass Special
The fine nosing glass comes from the Scottish distillery Loch Lomond. The distillery’s lettering and logo are shown on the front; the glass is about 13.5 cm tall.
The distillery was established in 1965 in Alexandria on the southern shore of Loch Lomond. Its still house is unique in the world: alongside classic swan-neck pot stills stand straight-neck pot stills with perforated copper plates and a cooling ring as well as continuous stills for grain whisky. Loch Lomond is the only distillery in Scotland able to produce single malt and grain whisky at the same time. Its brands include Inchmurrin, Inchmoan, Inchfad, Old Rosdhu, Croftengea and Craiglodge.
