Navy Island is a blend of selected Jamaican rum qualities distillery giants Worthy Park, Monymusk and Hampden Estate. They all have one thing in common: They produce their rum by hand in traditional stills, do without adding sugar and produce in small batches. The rums that are married for Navy Island are also typical of the rum island in taste: with high ester content, extremely aromatic and full-bodied.
The XO Reserve is the Navy Island's flagship - a full-bodied, strong cuvée that matured extra long (XO = Extra Old) under tropical conditions in bourbon barrels. This limited edition now promises even more intense rum enjoyment. The exuberant character of the Jamaican is underlined by a at least 6-month finish in casks that previously contained dark sweet Tawny Port wine. The result: More complexity, sweetness, dried fruit and spiciness.
The new Jamaica Rum XO Reserve with Tawny Port Cask Finish is available with a drinking strength of 46.4% vol. and for advanced users in a Cask Strength Edition with crunchy 62.3% vol. Alcohol content.
